Courage

Dear BereanCall, I just happened to be listening to one of your messages (again) and returned to your website for an additional podcast on the subject being listened to. I then saw the news about Dave's passing. I felt immediate grief and sadness as I have admired Dave Hunt since I began listening to him and Tom over the past few years. At the same time I had to say thank you Jesus for making Dave into the man he was and for the amazing reality that is in Christ that he is now in the presence of the Lord for eternity. What an amazing and glorious truth. I am grateful for Dave for assisting me in biblical instruction with regard to the present day deceptions in the church and having the courage to speak out about it in courage and love. Something I am trying to do myself. Dave was a man who was prepared to really investigate and subsequently tackle the errors that have crept into the church, not to simply be divisive or controversial but because of his love for Jesus, His word and His church. This made him unpopular to many, even some of my own friends, a price he was prepared to pay. At the same time he has been a source of inspiration and encouragement to many others who feel the same as he does, who will simply not just follow the crowd. May the Lord continue to bring good fruit out of Dave and Tom's ministry. My heartfelt condolences to His wife and family, to his good friend Tom and to all the BereanCall staff.
