Hosted Dave in our home

I met Dave several times over the years, but the first meeting occured when my wife and I had the privilege of hosting him in our home when he came to our local church to speak. Our children were very young at the time and we had recently purchased a copy of Dave's book "The Money Tree". Dave kindly read the book aloud to our children and even signed our copy of the book. He also taught our children a little chorus that we have sung ever since "With Jesus in the family, happy, happy home. Happy, happy home. With Jesus in the family, happy, happy home!" My wife and I also enjoyed talking with Dave as we shared together many favorite passages of Scripture and hymns that held deep meaning for us. Dave was a wonderful, genuine, joyous Christian and I am thankful for the opportunity we had to get to know him.
