How a Book Helped Change a Life!

Shortly after receiving Jesus as Lord and Savior, a friend introduced me to Dave's book, The Seduction of Christianity! Together, she and I began to meet together and pour over the information within! Our study led us to question, "Were the footnote sources truly what the cited authors had written?" Thus, we began to check out what Dave had quoted by going to our local Christian bookstore to find as many of the cited book themselves, look up the page numbers and "fact-check" on our own! This quest took 3-4, and more trips to the store where we spent hours at a time searching to check out as many authors' published works as we could find there, comparing what Dave had written in The Seduction of Christianity. We were meticulous! Indeed, Dave had quoted them correctly! This was astounding information to us as we had not been exposed to many of the cited authors' writings, but were curious to see if these authors had indeed written what Dave referenced!! What a giant wake-up call, praise God! Happily, at a future date, we were able to hear Dave speak in person while in Minnesota at Twin City Fellowship! Also, our Lord has opened several occasions to be able to share what we learned from this experience, referencing The Seduction of Christianity, by sharing copies with friends. To say Dave's work had a profound effect in my life cannot be emphasized enough here. I thank God for Dave's bravery, persistence and perserverance to honor the Lord with his talents as a writer and speaker/teacher of Biblical truth, as God continues using Dave's books,The Berean Call, and radio programs helping me to understand the dangers of those who've come to deceive. Indeed, the Lord has been glorified with Dave's obedience to prayerfully write and speak! "And the Lord answered me, "Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it."
