A Memory of Dave

I am a former Roman Catholic nun who has been and continues to be greatly impacted by the person and work of Dave Hunt who always pointed me to the Lord and His truth.  

When I was first introduced to his writings I was just recently saved  and 44years old. A friend gave me the book: Global Peace. Some things in this book angered me - like:  "No rejection of Christ by the world is as diabolically cunning as the calculated downgrading of the Savior by Roman Catholic tradition in the name of Christianity." (page 122) However, the more I learned the Word of God, the more the truth of statements in this book were being confirmed.  Eventually my husband (trained in Catholic seminary) and I read more and more books and newsletters from TBC and grew in discernment and the desire to know the Word of God and how to apply it to so much going on around us and in the world.  

We began attending Bible conferences regularly and met Dave at a number of them.  We saw and heard Dave's evident love for his Savior, compassion for others, humility and sense of humor - we even learned how to communicate graciously with those we crossed paths with who were holding to or teaching what is contrary to the Bible.  When talking with Dave about concerns we were facing, he listened intently and responded in grace and truth.

We love this man and the ministry the Lord called him to do and we know he is now rejoicing before the Lord he served so well. May many resolve to carry on the work Dave accomplished by standing for truth and encouraging T.A. McMahon and all the Staff at The Berean Call.   Mary from WI - saved by grace through a response of faith to the finished work of Jesus Christ.  May His Name be glorified.
