One of my favorites

I was exposed to Dave around 1982 at a Calvary Chapel in Visalia. I was new at this 'church stuff', calvary was my first attempt at it. I had read the Bible for twelve years prior but did not want to expose myself to preachers. I believed they could influence us to believe things that are untrue. Dave proved that to me but added a passion for Christ's Church. I kept 'going to churches' but Dave helped me to see that I am part of the church, it is not a place to go but a thing to be. I have followed him and read almost every book he wrote. I disagreed with Dave on the security of the saints, and still do but that is the only place that I can say that we disagree. He warned me about dr. robert shank and said that shank did not believe in once saved always saved, so I bought shanks book and it inspired me to write my first book. This difference has never stopped me from going to a dave hunt conference or directing people to him for help when it came to problems in the 'church'. I will always love dave and cant wait to see him, Im sure I will. Joe
