The Rapture is a word to which some critics object because they say it isn’t in the Bible. In fact, it is in the Latin translation of 1 Thessalonians:4:17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
See All.... The Latin rapturos means an ecstatic catching away, as does our English word. In any language, that is exactly what the Bible declares will occur when Christ returns to take His own to His Father’s house of many mansions. Such was our Lord’s promise, and He will not fail to keep it.
