Suffering

No human life (the body) is infinite (Hebrews 9:27). Part of the nature of the Lord Jesus Christ included a physical body that physically died on the cross. The infinite part of Christ (His spirit) suffered the infinite pain of separation as He hung on the cross for all mankind (Matthew:27:46And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
See All...). The most horrid part of the ordeal involved the time of separation from His father, with whom He was one (John 10:30). This oneness is something that our finite minds cannot comprehend. Neither can we comprehend the infinity involved. Furthermore, after His resurrection the Lord Jesus continued to bear in His body the marks of His triumph, something He will do for eternity (John:20:24But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.
