Who is this God who inspired the Bible through some forty different prophets over a period of sixteen hundred years? The Bible says His name is "I AM [Yahweh]" (Exodus:3:13-14 [13] And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?
[14] And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

Nine times He is called "God of Abraham...Isaac...and Jacob" (Exodus:3:6Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.

Yahweh, to whom we just referred, is called "the God of Israel" 203 times—and it is to Israel that He gave the Promised Land (Genesis:28:13And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;

Of course, never is He called "the God of the Americans," or of the French, the Russians, or anyone else. And that this God is not Allah of the Muslims is made absolutely clear. Those who may be offended by these facts need to take their complaint to the God of the Bible, not to this writer. My purpose is only to point out precisely what the Bible says—truth that most ignore and many refuse to accept, but which we will prove from history and current developments in the Middle East.
