The peace of Jerusalem for which we are to pray is that which the Bible promises will come when the Prince of Peace has returned (Isaiah:9:6For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
See All...). Until then, despite all human efforts to obtain it or to destroy it, true peace will never come to Jerusalem. The peace that passes understanding, which God gives every true believer, is just a tiny foretaste of this true peace. —TBC
