Nuggets from Occult Invasion—A Perfect Setup for Demons

Serious international efforts have been underway for decades to contact ETIs. In this country the program was titled Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) and was connected to NASA. In 1993 Congress cut government support to SETI and it was succeeded by Harvard University’s “Project Phoenix,” an intense, continuing effort to make radio contact with ET civilizations. Other nations, too, are sending radio signals into space and listening for some coherent message from “out there.” As part of this search, the Voyager spacecraft carried a message on a gold record affixed to its exterior:

“We cast this message into the cosmos…. Of the 200 millions stars in the Milky Way galaxy, some—perhaps many—may have inhabited planets and spacefaring civilizations. If one such civilization intercepts Voyager…here is our message.

“This is a present from a small, distant world, a token of our sounds, our science, our images, our music, our thoughts and our feelings. We are attempting to survive our time so we may live into yours. We hope someday, having solved the problems we face, to join a community of galactic civilizations. This record represents our hope and our determination, and our good will in a vast and awesome universe.

As a professing Christian, Carter’s hope should have been eternity with Christ in heaven. Instead, he proposed a glorious future with a galactic community in a universe which the Bible says will be destroyed at the end of the millennium: “The heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat…all these thigs shall be dissolved…we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness” (2 Peter:3:10-13 [10] But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. [11] Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, [12] Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Professor Courtney Brown claims that remote viewers have identified ET civilizations which are visiting Earth and that “we are about to enter the realm of galactic life as fully participating members in the community of worlds.” Syrian President Hafez Assad, in an interview with Time magazine, expressed the belief that only an extraterrestrial power could bring real peace to this world. Even leading Christians have spoken favorably of this unbiblical and impossible event.

Jastrow and Vallee are not the only scientists who acknowledge the possibility that ETIs may be nonphysical. Unfortunately, Earth’s science offers no protection against such entities. That we are now trying to make contact with nonphysical beings provides the perfect setup for demons.
