In classic occult terminology, Dr. Allison refers to these entities as “Ascended Masters,” who, he believes, are related to our own higher Selves. Based upon his experience with MPDs, this psychiatrist has come to believe in the existence of disembodied minds. In his conversations with these entities, some say to him, “Don’t worry about where we come from or what’s our address, or where we’ve lived before.” Others say such things as, “I had my last life as a Sioux Indian in the Dakotas and I was a multiple then, and now I’ve been sent by God here to help her [the client] with her troubles—I’m an expert at it.”
