Bill Bright claims that the Holy Spirit has revealed to him that the awakening now underway “will result in the greatest spiritual harvest in history.” In his speech at a Catholic church in Rome when accepting the Templeton Prize for Progress in Religion, Bill pledged that “all the proceeds [more than a million dollars]…will go to that God-inspired purpose…[of] fast[ing] and pray[er] for a worldwide spiritual awakening and the completion of the Great Commission…by the end of the year 2000….”
