As evidence of our evaluation of the Darwinian movement, notice the superlatives in what Dawkins goes on to reverently utter: “Darwinian natural selection is so stunningly elegant because it solves the problem of explaining complexity in terms of nothing but simplicity. Essentially, it does it by providing a smooth ramp of gradual, step-by-step increments. I could not imagine anyone being an atheist at any time before 1859, when Darwin’s Origin of Species was published…. Although atheism might have been logically tenable before Darwin, Darwin made it possible to be an intellectually fulfilled atheist.”
