Atheists mock any belief in the resurrection of Jesus Christ as folk superstition yet are not embarrassed to declare in the name of science [1] that all the life on Earth sprang spontaneously from dead matter, even after it had been sterilized a trillion times over by a so-called Big Bang. Consider the following from George Wald:
“The reasonable view was to believe in spontaneous generation; the only alternative, to believe in a single primary act of supernatural creation. There is no third position. . . . One [must] concede that the spontaneous generation of a living organism is impossible. Yet here we are—as a result, I believe, of spontaneous generation.”
