Jesus was opposed by the religious leaders, whereas the common people heard Him gladly. Likewise, the religious leaders of today also have their complex theological explanations to defend and their positions of preference and power to protect. They are the ones who are blinded by prejudice - simplicity of ideas and experience rarely blinds anyone but leaves then all the more able to apprehend the truth. —TBC
