Hunt, Dave

It isn’t necessary (or often even beneficial) to join any denomination. You need to be associated with a local body of believers. In all denominations there are both good and bad congregations, depending upon the pastor and those who attend. Look for a group of believers in your area who love the Lord and who are seeking to be true to His Word. Don’t expect perfection, and don’t think primarily of what the church can do for you, but rather of what you can do to help others.

"Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers."

Ephesians:4:29
