Dave's Dilemma
We covet your prayers for Dave as he takes off on a rather extensive international speaking schedule. He will be gone most of the time from August through December.
Another way you can help Dave during this time period is to refrain from writing specifically to him. We’re trying to eliminate the stacks of mail that usually await his return (which are not the best of homecoming items!). We’ll do the best we can regarding answers to your questions.
Are Your Bibles Collecting Dust?
We hope you’re not letting that happen to your favorite Bible. But if you happen to have some extra used Bibles around your house that aren’t being utilized, we know of a ministry that will distribute them to people who would be very excited to receive an English Bible. Some are so desperate to read the Word that to receive even a page or two is a sheer delight.
The Bibles will be freely disbursed to hospitals, nursing homes, rescue missions, prisons, homeless shelters, street ministries, remote villages, refugee camps, railway and bus stations, etc. The Bible Foundation Ministry reports the transforming power of God’s Word through the many letters it has received. One such letter from Nigeria, after a raid in which Muslims destroyed the homes and possessions of those who confessed faith in Christ, reads, “Our solemn need now is to provide these dear converts, whose Bibles were burnt and personal belonging confiscated, with some boxes of Holy Bibles.”
You may send your extra Bibles directly to Bible Foundation, c/o G7 Plant Services, 1101 N Villa Rd, Newberg, OR 97132, or go to their website for more information: www.bf.org/bibledrive. They can be also be reached by email at bf@bf.org.
