Whatever Pans Out??
Although it's true that one's belief in the doctrine of the Rapture, or lack thereof, doesn't affect one's eternal salvation, it does have ramifications regarding a believer's life in Christ. For example, if someone believes that Jesus could return for him at any moment, his life very likely will be quite different from someone who thinks that it won't happen until a certain event takes place later in time.
Eschatology is the study of doctrines related to the last days. More specifically, premillennialism, amillennialism, and postmillennialism are believed by many to be both nonessential and of little practical value. The Lord willing, in our September issue we will address how an erroneous eschatology has led believers to unwittingly contribute to the plans of the Antichrist.
