Dear Berean Call,
Thank you again for the monthly newsletter. It is such a blessing and it is the truth—not some distorted belief going around these days. [God] is still in control and I don’t believe He will be grading on a curve, which is what it seems some want to believe. His word is true and He is faithful. MS (DE)
Dear Dave,
Judgment Day!is terrific! You continue to be an inspiration to me through your writings and radio ministry....Multiple sclerosis and diabetes keep me from getting out much, but not from continuing to grow in the Lord. In fact, I thank my God for my infirmities. This has given me the opportunity to study the Bible that I might not have done if my health were better. LM (OR)
Greetings Dave Hunt,
The article, “The Bible Is God’s Word” (August 2005), helped me to understand some very disturbing things I have been hearing lately. I wondered where on earth such foolishness came from. I am glad you are out there doing what you are doing; you cover so many topics and so many errors and fallacies. I do not see you as some Christian star to be goggled at but a (fallible like us all but striving for truth) man of God, in love with the Lord and His Word. Thank you for being a watchman on the wall.... EJ (IL)
Dear Dave and friends at TBC,
My father and I first started “exchanging” Dave’s books about 23 years ago, so I know firsthand the treasure they are. Truth, clarity, and an unwillingness to compromise with this world are what I find in Dave’s writings, and indeed throughout TBC’s ministry....Thank you all for your unwavering commitment to THE truth. Dave Hunt,
I recently read A Woman Rides the Beast and am now halfway through The Occult Invasion. As an activist years ago, I was decrying many of the topics you discuss, especially Education, Religion, Abortion, the Equal Rights Amendment and Feminism. ...Actually, you have touched on so much more, and only The Book, the Holy Bible, has the solution. The world needs the Gospel of Jesus Christ—the entire Word of Truth—now more than ever....The extent of your research is astronomical! I am especially pleased with your exposure of the Catholic Church.... JB (NY)
Dear Dave and Ruth,
It seems to me that the difficulties we face help by testing what’s in us. It’s a long and oftentimes painful revelation....As the time gets closer to Jesus’ return, intensity in situations seems to be common. [I think of] Luke:11:34-36 [34] The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.
[35] Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.
[36] If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.
See All.... The comparison between the single [eye] and the evil [eye] is thought provoking....We wait on our Savior. If He doesn’t “meet my needs” then they won’t be met, and maybe I’ll learn a new way! Thanks for your faithfulness and single eye. SD (CA)
Dear Reader,
The last three issues of The Berean Call were not very interesting. Repeat over old ground, etc....Dave goes...a long way to fill up his books with a lot of drivel which any Christian person can read in the Word of God. I am reading daily His Word and come across good things....[In my order] I notice a slip...now enclosed about the change in postal rates. Why quote mail prices to the outside world inpounds? Most of the modern world uses kilos and not pounds, just in case you people do not know. And lastly...why does David and others use the silly King James Version? Why can he not use a good translated modern Bible in modern language? So I have decided to cancel the subscription with you forthwith. And please do not send any more material. NG (New Zealand)
Dear Bro. Dave,
I have been blessed for years by reading Berean Call, but never have I been more blessed than from your “Victory in Christ” article in the November 2005 issue. Yes, some so-called leaders have lost confidence in the sufficiency of Christ, his Word, and the Holy Spirit to live the life of Christ. JM (KY)
Dear friends,
Due to the destructive hurricanes, so many have lost families and earthly belongings and their homes. We thank God for raising up helpers who are meeting the needs of these families and penniless ones. I do trust that people will see the hand of God in...sparing them from death, and that it will encourage them to turn to Jesus Christ while life lingers on. LB (FL)
Dear Dave,
Thank you for What Love Is This? I’ve been waiting for that book for years! I had always thought that “Perseverance of the Saints” was almost the same as Eternal Security (but poorly worded) and that Calvinists would enjoy the same assurance of salvation as we do. I had not realized that their assurance (or lack of) comes from their own perseverance (or lack of)—what a price many of them must pay for believing the TULIP doctrine! BE (New Zealand)
