Dear TBC,

Excellent answer on the question of studying Greek and Hebrew [TBC, 05/20 Q&A]. How many of us had even a small grip on the various tenses and other particulars of these languages when we were first saved? All we knew was that we needed a Saviour and the Lord Jesus was the answer. We are instructed to grow in His grace and knowledge, and I feel that the study of these languages does help to magnify His Word by adding a little different perspective that we do not get from our native tongue. However, this does not warrant a full scale discipline of these languages. I have been doing “word studies” for many years and have enjoyed many truths developed thru this kind of approach.... Seminary??? They teach a language to correspond to their point of view in many cases. Don’t think that these original languages cannot be manipulated to conform to their doctrines! I was very dismayed to find this out. JJ (OR)

Dear Berean Call,

Your excellent publication and spiritual insight is always read carefully and most often more than once. I am especially grateful for the articles on doctrine. The current trend of a weak and diluted gospel of Jesus Christ causes grief to my heart. In Hosea:4:6, God blamed Israel’s unbelief on their “lack of knowledge.”

Thank you for the April issue of the newsletter with the reprint of Dave Hunt’s article “The Power of His Resurrection.” What an important emphasis, which is so often omitted in giving the Gospel invitation!

The “TBC Notes” were informative concerning Albania. Yes, all things are possible with God. May His Word bless the hearts of all who hear that they may be saved. KK (PA)

Dear Berean Call Staff,

I want to thank you for carrying on Dave and Ruth Hunt’s work. I do so appreciate all the great material you make available for me and my husband. I use a lot of your material in my Bible School Class. My students are really reaching Catholics for Christ because because of your wonderful newsletter.

Your December 2015 article “The Enigma of Calvinism” is so valuable. It really explains to me all about Augustine, along with the wonderful books of Dave that discuss Calvinism. It is shameful that so many of our preachers are talking so much about Augustine when the Bible has everything we need to know.

Thanks again and a big blessing to you all. IF (PR).
