Heat Over College’s Segregated Workshop

OneNewsNow.com, 11/10/20, “FIRE brings the heat over college’s segregated workshop” [Excerpts]: During a mandatory orientation program, Lewis & Clark College conducted racial segregation for students by separating students according to their race, a decision that got noticed by the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE).

The August 29 orientation workshop required students to identify as “Black,” “Indigenous,” “Person of Color,” or “White.” The workshop was conducted by a Portland-based social justice group. FIRE and one of the college’s own professors brought the problem to their attention.

“Mandatory racial segregation isn’t wrong because FIRE or a professor finds it objectionable. It’s wrong because it means that your ethnicity alone determines the education you receive,” FIRE executive director Robert Shibley said. “That it was just a little segregation, that ‘mandatory’ actually means ‘optional,’ or that the college meant well is no defense.”

“I foresee decent probability of many deleted Tweets, writings, photos in the future.” Michael Simon, a former Obama administration staffer, tweeted in response (and later deleted the tweet): “Yes, we are. Every administration staffer, campaign staffer, bundler, lawyer who represented them—everyone.” He linked to “The Trump Accountability Project,” a website that proclaims ominously: “Remember what they did.” Remember it, apparently, in order to hound these people out of public life and into poverty or worse. Is the age of American gulags about to dawn? 

Emily Abrams, a Pete Buttigieg campaign worker, tweeted (and then made her account private): “We’re launching the Trump Accountability Project to make sure anyone who took a paycheck to help Trump undermine America is held responsible for what they did.” The Trump Accountability Project website proclaims its intention to destroy Trump supporters:

“We must never forget those who furthered the Trump agenda. We should welcome in our fellow Americans with whom we differ politically.

But those who took a paycheck from the Trump Administration should not profit from their efforts to tear our democracy apart....” Aside from the tissue of falsehoods [they] present...this statement raises the obvious question about what “the world” should do after it recalls all these things about Trump supporters.

Bill Clinton’s Labor Secretary Robert B. Reich tweeted: “When this nightmare is over, we need a Truth and Reconciliation Commission. It would erase Trump’s lies, comfort those who have been harmed by his hatefulness, and name every official, politician, executive, and media mogul whose greed and cowardice enabled this catastrophe.”

Globalist: No Return To Normal From Covid 19

ZeroHedge.com, 11/11/20, “Globalist Klaus Schwab: World Will “Never” Return To Normal After COVID” [Excerpts]: In his book Covid-19: The Great Reset, World Economic Forum globalist Klaus Schwab asserts that the world will “never” return to normal, despite him admitting that coronavirus “doesn’t pose a new existential threat.”

Schwab has continually pushed for COVID to be exploited to push for a new world order, claiming, “Now is the historical moment of time not only to fight the…virus but to shape the system…for the post-corona era.”

However, he goes further in the book, making it clear that the financial elite will never allow life to return to normal, suggesting that rolling lockdowns and other restrictions will become permanent. 

“Many of us are pondering when things will return to normal,” writes Schwab. “The short response is: never. Nothing will ever return to the ‘broken’ sense of normalcy that prevailed prior to the crisis because the coronavirus pandemic marks a fundamental inflection point in our global trajectory.”
