Energy, what art thou? According to prevailing scientific opinion, though we don’t know what energy is or why it exists and obeys certain laws, it suddenly appeared out of nothing—and then exploded in the Big Bang. This is a “once-upon-a-time” fairy tale that says that energy cane into existence compacted into an infinitely small mass, which, for unknown reasons, suddenly expanded some 13-15 billion years ago. There was a huge explosion, generally described as a “colossal fireball.” If that was indeed the case, this universe began as completely sterilized matter. Louis Pasteur proved that life cannot arise after sterilization has taken place.
