Nuggets from “Judgment Day: Islam, Israel, and the Nations” by Dave Hunt
Some of God’s declarations ought to strike terror in the hearts of those who have made themselves His enemies by defying Him in His declared purposes for Israel. Before pronouncing God’s last days’ blessing upon Israel, Moses had a final word of warning from God for the nations that would oppose and oppress her:
“Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people” (Deuteronomy:33:29Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places.
See All...).”
The language is vivid and terrifying. God is sharpening His sword of judgment. There will be a false peace that will deceive Israel. Then all nations will attack to destroy her. With Israel on the brink of annihilation, and after two-thirds of all Jews on earth have been killed (Zechariah:13:8-9 [8] And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.
[9] And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.
See All...), God will “make [His] arrows drunk with blood, and [His] sword shall devour [the] flesh” of His enemies.
