Such is the true belief of the Pope and his bishops and cardinals—behind the ecumenical smiles and cooperative façade which they now present to the world. Pretending that Catholicism is in full accord with Protestantism, Richard John Neuhaus, coarchitect of ECT with Charles Colson, deceitfully declares:

“The first order of business is Christian unity, or ecumenism. As the second millennium has been one of Christian division, so John Paul says that the third millennium must be one of Christian unity. During the pontificates of John Paul and his predecessor, Paul VI, dramatic steps have been taken toward healing the breach.”
