Robert Schuller, who was referred to by President Clinton in his January 1997 inaugural address as “one of America’s best-known pastors,” has supported occultism within the church for many years. In the foreword to Yonggi Cho’s The Fourth Dimension, Schuller said of the occult technique of visualization which Cho promoted, “Don’t try to understand it. Just start to enjoy it! It’s true. It works. I tried it.” Schuller seems to affirm a world religion upon which all can agree:
“That’s what sets me apart from fundamentalists, who are trying to convert everybody to believe how they believe…. We know the things the major faiths can agree upon. We try to focus on those without offending those with different viewpoints, or without compromising the integrity of my own Christian commitment.”
