The proliferating centers where yoga and other forms of Eastern meditation are taught become focal points of the occult invasion. Channeled messages describe such centers as “the first beachheads secured by the approaching forces…to prepare the human species for its collective awakening.” This so-called “awakening” into “higher consciousness” is actually the demonization of mankind in preparation for Antichrist and his world religion. For a fuller documentation of that fact, see The New Spiritualty by this author.
Consider the case of Maurice B. Cooke. A respected Toronto businessman, Cooke became one of today’s most popular channelers through dabbling in Eastern mysticism’s Raja Yoga. Learning to “still” his conscious mind, he began to receive telepathic messages “dictated from a nonphysical source” which identified itself as Hilarion. Yoga opened Cooke to the spirit realm exactly as it is designed to do.
The incidence of such “contact” with spirit entities is increasing. Although Cooke did not seek to become a channeler, thousands of others have pursued various forms of Eastern mysticism with the deliberate purpose of entering into what they believe to be a dialogue with the spirit world and with allegedly higher entities. Lyssa Royal relates her story:
“I was trained formally by a highly respected channel in Los Angeles…. In 1986 I began the deliberate choice of developing my channeling ability in order to access the quality and depth of information that is presented in our books, The Prism of Lyra, Visitors from Within, and now Preparing for Contact. The channeling process is simple. I put myself into a[n Eastern] meditative state…. Another consciousness (or entity) links…telepathically with my brain and then uses it as a translation device…. While in a trance, the entities through me are questioned by author Keith Priest and/or various other individuals attending the private or public gathering.”
The communications consistently received in this manner by numerous channels have been recorded in thousands of books and videos and are influencing the thinking of an entire generation in the West. The transmissions which Lyssa Royal receives from “several entities who are channeled for our research” fit the usual pattern. While acknowledging that she is not certain of the true identity of the communicating entities, Lyssa trusts the information they provide. She writes:
“In no way is it necessary for the reader to believe the entities are who they say they are…. Use the material presented to stimulate your own search for truth. [Yet it always echoes Satan’s lies!] I have often been asked if I really believe that I channel extraterrestrial entities. I have answered that it is not a matter of belief or disbelief. Instead, the importance lies in where the information and the channeling process takes me in my understanding…. The more I channel her [Sasha, one of several entities], the more real she becomes. If she is simply the product of some undiscovered ability within the human consciousness, then I still consider my relationship with her to be a gift. She has opened doors to the universe for me…!”
It is astonishing that millions of otherwise intelligent and well-educated Westerners can be so easily persuaded to accept as “truth” information transmitted by mysterious entities whom they are unable to identify. Yet this fact offers further proof of the Genesis account of Satan’s seduction of Eve and confirms the universal appeal of his lies.
The practice of yoga and other forms of Eastern meditation creates the same altered states as do drugs, hypnosis, drumming, dancing, visualization, and other shamanic techniques now so widely used in the West. The door is opened to demonic seduction of mankind. Incredibly, yoga is now widely practiced and promoted within the church. Robert Schuler gave it his early endorsement:
“A variety of approaches to meditation…is employed by many different religions as well as by various nonreligious mind-control systems. In all forms…TM, Zen Buddhism, or Yoga…the meditator endeavors to overcome the conscious mind…. It is important to remember that meditation in any form is the harnessing, by human means…of God’s divine laws…. Transcendental Meditation or TM…is not religion nor is it necessarily anti-Christian.”
