Nuggets from Occult Invasion—Money, Money, Who’s Got the Money?

Money is a major focus in the occult. Kenneth Copeland unashamedly declares that God called him to preach the unbiblical “gospel of prosperity.” Marilyn Hickey, author of God’s Seven Keys to Make You Rich, is chairman of the board of regents of Oral Roberts University. In the Miracle of Seed Faith, Oral claims God revealed to him that the great principles of sowing and reaping so evident in the physical world also held true in the spiritual realm. One could “plant” a monetary gift in a ministry and “reap” miracles. In response to this claim hundreds of millions of dollars from sincere but deceived Christians have poured into the ministries of numerous “faith teachers,” making the latter wealthy. Simple souls have been enticed by the promise of a “hundredfold return” on their gifts.
