God's Grace, Your Responsibility
Any believer who has been following the Lord diligently for the last 25 years or so can attest to the fact that evangelical Christianity is changing rapidly--and not for the good. Apostasy is increasing at an exponential rate. This is not only evident, it is God's prophetic Word fulfilled in our day.
So, how do we handle it? By God's grace! "Where sin abounded, grace did much more abound" (Romans:5:20Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
See All...). But His grace is given to enable us to grow in our understanding of and in the doing of His Word. With that comes protection: "I have written unto you...because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one" (1 John:2:14I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.
See All...).
Unless we are diligent to that end, unless we are disciplined in our reading the Scriptures and living them out in our lives, His grace will be in vain (1 Corinthians:15:10But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
See All...), and we will be ripe for the escalating seduction of the apostasy.
