Your Prayers for TBC and Me
I love it when we receive emails in which the writers close by saying they are praying for the ministry and for me personally. In some cases they ask us what they can pray for specifically regarding our needs. That obviously changes depending on our circumstances.
Nevertheless, there are some things in our walk with the Lord that are always needful prayerwise.
Colossians:1:9-14 [9] For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
[10] That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
[11] Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
[12] Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
[13] Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
[14] In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
See All... gives us a list of prayers that I continually covet: “For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: in whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins”
Again, I covet your prayers that those things might be manifest in my personal walk with Jesus, and in fulfillment of the ministry in which He has blessed me to be a part. My other favorite prayer is that of the Canaanite woman who wanted Jesus to help her daughter. She cried out to Him simply: “Lord, help me!” (Matthew:15:25Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
See All...).
You may not remember all the things for which I covet your prayers that are found in Colossians, but God knows.
So, “Lord, help TBC and Tom” will more than suffice.
