We Pray without Ceasing
One of the things many don’t realize about The Berean Call is that we are first of all a praying ministry. That is our strength in the Lord. We go to Him for everything, and He never lets us down. Some who have known the ministry a long time have commented that they are surprised that we never ask for money. That’s not quite true. We do make fund appeals, however, we make them to the Lord directly. He is Jehovah Jireh, our provider. We expect Him to put it upon the hearts of those He would have contribute to the support of TBC, His ministry. Again, He has never let us down. That approach has had numerous benefits such as a) Our dependence is upon Him, not man. b) It keeps us on His course, knowing that “Where Jesus guides, He provides.” c) Rather than worrying during times when funding falls off a bit, we see it as a time to make sure that we’re on His course, to evaluate our stewardship, our own giving, and to make sure we continue to “pray without ceasing.”
We are blessed to begin our work days with Bible study and prayer, except for Thursday mornings. That day is dedicated to praying for all those who call or write to us with their prayer requests. In that endeavor, we are simply intercessors. It’s a wonderful privilege as well as being a tremendous confidence builder in the Lord. How so? Imagine what it’s like to have 25 years of praise reports reminding us of God faithfully answering prayers. We love the calling of encouraging believers in biblical discernment. Nevertheless, please don’t hesitate to contact us with your prayer requests.
