A Great Opportunity!

As most of our readers know, Dave Hunt’s novel The Mind Invaders was selected by Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) as one of “America’s 100 most-loved books brought to you by The Great American Read.” We are thrilled for the book to be included among such classic works as Moby Dick, To Kill a Mocking Bird, Grapes of Wrath, Jane Eyre, Don Quixote, The Count of Monte Cristo, War and Peace, Pride and Prejudice, and many more.

We have been getting calls from libraries around the country asking for copies of The Mind Invaders. This is wonderfully encouraging to those of us who are always looking for tools to use in witnessing to the lost. Dave’s intriguing novel is loaded with biblical content, including a clear gospel message along with examples of the way that Christians should go about dealing with the issues of life through prayer. All of this is set in a highly dramatic fictional story involving psychic powers, UFOs, demons posing as extra-dimensional beings, etc., and reflecting how true believers might cope with the increasing deceptions that God’s Word warns will take place as the return of Jesus draws near.

So what’s the “great opportunity” for you? PBS is asking everyone to vote for his or her favorite book on the list. One vote per day is the rule. The voting ends in October. If the Lord puts it upon your heart, maybe you could “beat the drum” for Dave’s book by encouraging friends, relatives, members of your church, your prayer or Bible study group or by any other means that the Lord brings to your mind—to vote. This is definitely a unique opportunity to reach out to unbelievers with a tool for drawing them to the true God.
